  • So what do you use your prostar in-floor cooler for?

Thought that this might be a topic of interest...

I have never used mine as a cooler, maybe I should? I use mine to store my box anchor and rope.

Empty beer cans. The cold ones stay in an igloo.

Strangely enough, I use mine as a cooler. Saves floor space and they don't work that bad. Keeps drinks cold for an afternoon anyway.

Mine holds a nasty mix of water and oil from the bilge. My bilge is spotless but the cooler never drains completely and holds the slime like a grease trap.

On my 197 I use it for what its there for, BEER! The empties go in the floor in the "locker" in front of the engine.

Anchor storage. Never knew it was a "cooler".

same here, it works great as a trash can for empties.

To prevent that slime in the cooler I keep the lid open to let it air out after each use.

Is yours under the front passenger seat like mine?

There is a hole in the fiberglass just in front of the ski pylon that has a rubber gromlet in it which leads to the front cooler...I was thinking of getting a plug to put into the gromlet to prevent any water from collecting in the front compartment. Then, just remove the plug when you want to drain the compartment.

                              Anyone do this?
