  • Tow Vehicle suggestions.

My Jeep GC is going away. I had my mechanic give it a good going over after some stalling problems, and his suggestion was to "sell it, and sell it soon". I never had much luck with the Jeep anyway, so it's probably for the best.

So I'm now in the market for a new tow vehicle. I am looking for something that seats 4, will tow my S&S, doesn't ride like a tank, isn't too big that the wife won't drive it (read: not much bigger than the Jeep GC). I think those are the only fixed requirements...

    Ideas?

    New or used? Price range?
Lots of power is good, more is better, too much is just right.

Avalanche! I know it is big, but if you can talk your wife into trying it, she might like it. Rides great.

            I have a 4runner...

With a V8 and love it. Very good tow vehicle not sure you can get there for $14 though.

Never had any problems with Sequoia towed 245 maristar and currently tow with 06 Tacoma. 4Runner would be ideal with towing and wife.

UMP should be along shortly to Recommend a 1 Ton Dually 4x4 w/ a Diesel (of course) nothing less to tow a boat, most definitely

I've found some, but I'll keep looking until I find one at the right price with low mileage...

i have owned a 2001, 2003 and now a 2008 toyota sequoia. i have never had a single problem with any of them and towing is great.

there are a lot of differences between the 2001-2007 and the 08.

well, I can recommend the following:

entry level towing, get a 4x4 deisel crew cab. its the only thing that will handle a skiboat.

or get a forklift. those are best. diesl of course.
Skidog, dont forget to take your Geritol.

On a different note: I like LOTS of snort comin' out of the hole.

                          I would recommend a 2004 Chevy Tahoe.

Oh wait... I found one right here. Looks very clean! : )
