Not trying to namedrop here, but when I was in college, (early 90's) I lived three apartments down from Scott Byerly, Eric 'Gator" Lutgert, and Cobe Mickacich. We lived on this tiny lake in Orlando called Lake Shoal. I remember Gator having a 1993 Stars and Stripes Ann. Edition that the guys all used to ride behind. I even pulled Scott Byerly with my boat at the time (1988 Prostar 190) My point inthis little rant is that I agree with the video, you don't need a huge wake to do tricks. These guys did it with "ski boats" !!
This video should put to rest some of the criticisms about not being able to do decent wakeboarding tricks behind a direct drive, non ballasted boat. Slalom skiing behind a v-drive is the pits because no matter what you do, you can't get a good flat wake. But unless you are a pro wakeboarder, you can still have a pretty good time wakeboarding behind a direct drive with a tower on it.
first invert on a wakeboard i've ever seen was behind a PS205 w/ a pole and about 6 people and a couple of coolers in the boat... ok ignore the coolers part I was bout 14... my how 10 years can fly by!!!
