Interesting.....might be fun for the first few days.
Wakeboarders have been doing that for years, so not that new of an idea.

Surfing still requires more skill than either of the above IMHO.
    I was njskier on here.

Why not do it on ONE ski?

          pretty cool

so you could kneeboard or ski behind your boat instead of surfing also on the wave

Dude was a snow skier not a water skier. He's actually riding alpine fat skis and boots. I bet thats fun to swim in, poles are for balance, if you keep your hands/poles where you can see them you don't let a shoulder fall behind you and make better carved turns. I think a set of old school 72inch jumpers would be the hot setup.

They're not snow ski poles, they are big wave ocean poles. Come on, get with the sport.

I have seen videos of skiing on a boat wake, I'm going to try that this summer on my wake hoppers............

I have to say that's a pretty novel idea.

My thoughts; only for dude that cannot ride a surfboard. I can surf, so it doesn't look fun or a big deal to me.

I just looked up some videos of wakeskiing. That looks pretty fun. I can't wait to get me a boat and start trying out as many watersports as I can.

Anytime someone is riding a wave that big, it's impressive. It looks odd and out of place to me, but impressive nonetheless. I'm a snowboarder/wakeboarder, so skis always look weird to me. Props to him for riding jaws, though!

I am an experienced skier (and still do), but have not ocean surfed, so the ski thing would be an option for me........
