  • Teak platform is soft and flexes

My platform on my 95 ps 205 looks good and is in good shape but is pretty soft and flexes quite a bit setting or standing in the middle any fixes?

Mine does also; it hasn't been cared for well in it's life. I worry that some day I'm going to step down onto it and break it. I don't know that there's a solution other than doing some woodworking and rebuilding or reinforcing it.

My only suggestion would be to replace the center support wood and replace all the screws and glue.

Is it stored in the water all the time? Or is it on a lift/trailer every day?

My 94 platform was the same. I sent to Teak world to get a slat fixed and refurbed and they told me that the wood was just to thin to refurb again and they suggested I get a replacement. Sanding removes thickness. So I got a used one off a newer boat from them and no flexing now.
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

boat had not been stored in water on a lift or trailered. might just keep an eye out for one, I found a local guy that has some soild platforms of the ps 197 but they are too narrow would love for one of those to work.
