          Cool video. Thanks for sharing.

I bit the bullet and dropped a ton and I mean a ton of money on my all JL Audio system. I went with all M class amps and speakers. They have an MX class that is almost half as much $. But its worth the money for either. My best reason why is because it lasts under all conditions. Quality makes the difference. It also adds some value to the boat. Which offsets the cost .. at least that's how I justified taking the plunge.

I know a lot of people like wetsounds on here. But nothing is as good as JL Audio M Class. This video is a good testimate to why I chose JL Audio.

After watching the video, am I the only one thinking that MC will substitute its beautiful aluminium cans for the much cheaper (looking and production) plastic cans without any $$$ difference (except the annual upward correction)?

btw: these cans were the reason I didn't go with wetsounds speakers/cans

Sorry, not sure if your translation is not working correctly.
The explanation of the difference between the cockpit and tower speakers between 3:15 and 4:50 was the best part of the video. Whether the can is aluminum or plastic is essentially irrelevant to speaker performance. The suspension has to be stiffer on the cockpit to control movement which is not necessary with the sealed can.

Same principal why a sealed enclosure sub is superior to a free air sub.

If the esthetics of polished aluminum over plastic was your driving factor, that is an individual taste.

My translation is working just great we'd call this "Entfeinerung", you'd most likely call it Value engeneering...

I was not really talking about acoustical performance, although the plastic that it looks like it's made from, is definitly worse than a solid aluminum can...

And yes, esthetics (for me) is quite a factor when choosing a world class sport boat wouldn't need any gelcoat colors otherwise...
