Install a raw water sea strainer. That should be enough to keep debris from plugging to low-idle wye. Personally, I don’t think the new boats with heater pumps do any better at keeping the heater...

Airtex E2044 should give you 60 psi at the fuel rail. Odd. Not sure that’s of any help, but I used that same pump and it worked like a charm. Does it hold pressure after you shut it down?
