Wasn't that great. Blatant cheating...and nobody called it out. What a great democracy.

...if you watch, he flips it in his hand twice! The establishment will get their candidate no matter the cost or appearance. It's disgusting.

why so many people think Democratic Socialism is the way to go confounds me, every time Bernie raises his hand to talk I shiver of the thought of that burden on society ruining this country

'Cause of the promise of free stuff, and debt forgiveness of college tuition, as if someone forced them to go to those schools.

I would give a student "GIVE" "a choice" not actually forgive debt. Students do have choices…to go or not, to accept a debt or not. A choice to attend a community collage, A choice to work a student job at the university or a choice to get up and work after school or before and during the summer. People young and old have choices and decisions to make. Forgiveness of tuition debt is asking too much from others.

I really don don't want to go on a rant here but while its easy to blame the students (kids really), lets face it it's the parents who should have known better and IMO have a primary role in this "crisis". It's the parents that are supposed to be the guardians and provide guidance for their children that have failed them. Many have raised them to believe they're all very special prince and princesses that don't have to account for their actions. Worse many parents have chosen to squander their money living beyond their means only to find themselves unable or unwilling to pay for their kids college all while insisting they attend by means of student loan debt.

Being older with kids through college I've witnessed the above like a slow motion train wreck with family, friends and neighbors all taking the same or similar paths. Most times they've been 2 income families that have "lived the life" purchasing new cars, expensive vacations or one of my personal favorites, providing a complete childhood of travel hockey, baseball, soccer or some other sport rather than squirrel that money away for their education. I truly have nothing against sports but after spending untold thousands on these activities then to have zero or near zero for them later to go to school with is disgraceful.

Past the above I also believe a lot has to do with how children are being educated in general. We've created a "feel good" child development system where competition is frowned on, everyone is a winner and there is little accountability. In many cases once noble professions like welder, mechanic, electrician or plumber is looked down on by their liberal teachers we entrust our children's education to and is drilled into our children. Vocational classes like auto shop, welding, and electronics have been replaced by gender studies and diversity classes and we wonder why our kids come out of high school unprepared for the workforce with no employable skills.

One only need to look back a generation or 2 to see how we've changed as a society. It wasn't long ago that 18 and 19 year old's were considered and treated as adults. It was considered normal to move out at about that same age and actually start an adult life with things like rent, car payments, marriage and a job. To a degree we've created a generation of baby adults. A generation of adults unable to handle responsibility, finance or start a family.

IDK, maybe it's time for some tough love and time to tell them they have to live with their decisions. Or as an alternative solution provide them all debt forgiveness funded by the very people that steered them into this situation in the first place by moving the debt from them to their parents.

Then again, who knows I could be completely wrong about all of this.
