That’s a bummer. I remember seeing the show as a kid and I was fortunate to bring my kids to the show in 2018. They loved it!

So sad! For those of us in Wisconsin, it's among the few real gems that made the state special. Best wishes for all the affected folks.....

While itís hard to believe that they couldnít weather one season of no revenue (and only fixed costs), this is the new worst news due to Covid that Iíve experienced!
Previously it was the closures of make your own salad bars at the grocery store.
But this...
Literally, 100%, Tommy Bartletts IS the reason I started in water sports and also 100% the reason we have a MC. It was a dream come true when we got our old 190 years ago.
And it was because I have a friend who (still) has a cabin on Lake Delton right across from Tommyís. And as kids weíd sit out on the water and watch the shows from the lake.
Aside from the skiing, being a little gear head, I was totally enamored with the MC ski boats. Straight piped, some big blocks.
This honestly is horrible.

Yeah this is horrible, I’ve been there several times. I made it a point years ago to take my kids to watch. Also had the chance to take the 84 up and watch it off the lake ..one of the boat drivers came over before the show and complemented on the condition of my boat , said he remembers the days of using those 19’ skiers..

This is very sad news. Growing up in Wisconsin, this was a highlight of mine each summer. Probably one of the top reasons I fell in love with skiing and our type of inboard boats.

Hopefully one day, it might re-open so I can take my kids.

The news is still shocking. I grew up show skiing and Tommy Bartlett's was on the short list of places to ski professionally. To shut it down completely doesn't seem possible. The Dell's lost a landmark...

As with many of these types of businesses, I'm guessing the margins were very thin... doesnt take much of a bump, either legitimately out of their control (covid off-season) or other, to send things spiraling downward. That, and they're often a labor of love more than money, and when folks grow out of that "love" buyers are hard to find that can dedicate the same passion.

.....That said, its truly sad, I always dreamed of going there as a kid growing up only a few hours away, but never did make it.

The litmus test is always whether someone steps in and revives it or it just disolves. I have to imagine viable buyers had their chance first and didnt like the balance sheets, but that's entirely speculation. If its financially viable, someone'll get her running again... if not, its truly a sad day.
