2016 6.2L runs cold at idle

Looking for some help as I’m a little stumped. Our 2016 6.2L gets up to temp fine but as soon as we come off plane and idle, the engine cools to 135F. Once we get up to plane the temp comes back up to regular temp and stays there as long it’s on plane.

I have replaced the thermostat, no change. This seems to have started last year after we blew a impeller.

Any ideas on what could cause the boat to run cold at idle?

Impeller is new as well.

Thx

Paul

Took apart my bypass check valve (that comes off the impeller). There were some small chunks of rubber not allowing the check valve to close completely. Blew those out and it closed and held pressure. Didn’t get a chance to try it out but it doesn’t seem like this would solve the issue? Someone needs to do a schematic of this cooling system!

This definitely did not solve the issue. If anything it’s running a little colder which kind of makes sense. I can’t figure this out. My only next step is to start taking things apart randomly and checking them. Anybody have any ideas what could cause this engine to be fine at speed but too cold at idle?

Put the thermostat in water on the stove and verify at what water temperature it opens.
