Cool, I know they made some great changes to the boat. Would like to hear the difference in performance. It always happens to me, after I buy something they upgrade the heck out of it! LOL

Do you know if they made any engineering changes to the hull other than just width by a few inches, like actual design shape?

Yep. Dealer had a 19 and 20 on the floor next to each other and it is completely different. Pretty major differences even just sitting in the cockpit.

Haven’t heard much talk about the hull change at all, weird. That was pretty short run. Curious to see what that does to wakes .

It was discussed back in July, you were probably busy boating.

I put 240 hours on my 2018 22, traded it for a 2020 and put 40 hours on it in a couple weeks before laying it up for the winter. Love them both. Had the 18 really dialed in and all it did was surf, and had an awesome wake. Just transferred my ballast setup to the new boat. I canít say the new boat is better, because we never had anybody in the boat except the driver, so probably with 3 more passengers it would be. I think the left side wake is better on the new boat, and right side is great on both. I like the 2020 changes a lot. The engine is incredible, less rpmís doing the same work. Access to the engine and transmission is amazing as the whole center portion of the back seat lifts right out. The dash is a huge improvement over earlier models. Really nice touches in the interior with cup holders on the sides, and storage under the drivers seat was a surprise. The muscular bulges in the sides of the boat are very cool. Also, itís nice having more control over each individual tab. The screen functions are good, just scroll to ďsurf rightĒ press the button, and ballast tanks start pumping and tabs set automatically, like the other boats in the family. I didnít see the two boats sitting side by side, so I donít know about below the water line differences in the hull. Theyíre both good, but people are going to like the 2020 more because of the changes they made. I think they say the hull went from 98Ē wide to 99, and I read it weighs 4300 vs the earlier boats were 4200. Oh yeah, one nice change is the big coffin seat is now hinged, thatís helpful. They did a nice job on this boat. The sculpted sides have an air vent for the engine under the step pad, and maybe thatís part of what makes the engine sound so good. There is really easy access to the water pump for when you need to change the impeller, too. Iíve been away from my boat for six weeks, so Iím just jotting this stuff down as I remember in bits and pieces. Awesome engine, same or better wake with more adjustability, and lots of nice touches in the inside, loved my 2018 but this one is better.

Dave, nice detailed comparison. Sounds like MC is moving slowly away from the minimalistic approach of the early NXT boats and into more what MC customers really want which is a good thing in my mind.
