2005 x30 wakeboard wake

Anyone wakeboarding behind an OG x30. How does the wakeboard wake compare to a 205v? Is it mellow or does it have a nice kick and peaky when slammed? Also I noticed the gas tank is almost double of my 205v that has the MCX. Is the MCX a gas pig in this boat? I can’t seem to find any videos. Seems like they were not very popular.

Can’t comment on the wake, but I can on the MCX. I have it in my 06 and I’ve figured we burn about 7gph which I think is pretty good, especially because we mostly surf around 3300 rpm. With wakeboarding I’d guess it’d be lower. I think you’ll find you will like the MCX!

The wake is very very mellow compared to a 205v . It’s super rampy and it doesn’t have near the peak at the lip of the 205v. The boat takes a lot more weight than the 205v to get the wake going.

Just get an aggressive prop to help with hole shot if wakeboarding and surf are your priority . The MCX is def enough power for that boat.
