2000 Prostar 190 w/330hp LTR motor, surging

I have issues with the motor surging while at slower speeds (25ish mph) and also backfiring at times when I try to speed up.
Also surges when going over waves that rock the boat (25 mph)
Also idles high at times, then when shut down and restart it idles down to normal 640 rpm
If anybody has any ideas please dont hesitate to comment.
Another thing is loss of power when turning to the right, and when trying to pull up a skier.

Kind of sounds like a plugged fuel filter…just guess though

working thru the same problem. It's not the fuel filter. Trying a new ignition control module on Friday.
