I currently have to take my OLD OEM tower down everytime i put it on my lift, but I when I upgrade boats I plan on upgrading the lift. I am wondering if the ZFT7 is worth the upgrade from a ZFT4
I put it down every time to cover it. ZFT4 is so easy. Wouldn’t pay for a power tower.

Exactly what Aric said. Unless you have specific physical limitations, paying for the power tower is wasted money. We leave our ZFT4
up on the lift all the time. When we do any trailering, it’s very easy to lower. I’m not saying you can do it with one finger but one person can do it.

I echo what others have said. I trailer my boat each trip and always let the tower down for trailering. I also have 4 S85's on the tower. Don't get me wrong, its heavy, but still a one man job and takes a matter of seconds. My biggest issue is remembering to swivel the boards racks in before lowering.

We opted for the power tower as my wife likes to go out every once in a while for a "Girls Day" on the water. One less hassle for her.
