You will love the Blue Sea switch/ACR. I installed one in both of the boats I've owned. I never worry about dead batteries anymore. I will never own another boat without that system...or one better.
Hello
Working on a 1990 Maristar 240sc and just tore up the carpet to find this on both sides of the ski pylon. It appears to be a 2”wide strip that has been riveted down. I’ve only owned the boat for 10 months and there is no boat history on any damage or repairs. There is no cracking on the hull or anywhere else on the boat and the original interior fiberglass walls show no signs of repair.
Hello
Looking for any idea as to what this is or what am caused it. Tore out the carpet today to find a 2” strip on both sides of the ski pylon. There is no other damages, no history of repairs and all of the original interior fiberglass and exterior gel coat are intact
I removed the original pad with a heat gun and putty knife. Then used a 3M adhesive remover wheel to remove residual adhesive from the old pad. Now just waiting on the new one to arrive.

I'm pursuing my lifelong quest for the perfect, the absolutely driest martini to be found in this or any other world. And I think I may have hit upon the perfect formula :
Good to see and hear that people are getting back at boating! We seem to be having an early spring up here in the great white north and hope to get the boat out of storage in a couple weeks. Of course now that I've said that it'll probably start snowing again.
Cooling: New Water pump, thermostats, ECT, impeller and updated cooling hoses AFTER I get the alternator on the new lower mount(probably have to add wire to harness). Then new Coil Packs, plugs, wires, IAC. Then change rope bushing and cap with the brass piece I made several years ago, along with a brass shift knob. The trick release was just something I did to see if I could make the piece in brass. Last but not least, new engine box hinges to make quick release action.
If the hinges use cotter pins (can't quite make it out in the photo), replace the cotter pins with round key-ring type connectors to put in the pin holes. You'll save slicing open a toe. Been there.
1/2" diameter works OK. Small enough to ignore yet large enough to get an opener to separate the ring to roll it out of the pin hole.
