2012 X-25 Aquamarine Deck

I'm looking at getting Aquamarine Deck for my 2012 X-25. They have a template for the 2015 X-25. Does anyone know if that is the same? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for color? Currently thinking blue over grey.

Nice looking boat, and we love our Aqua Marine deck flooring so much better than carpeting. I believe that template will fit your boat just fine but I will let other X25 experts confirm this.

Personally I would go with grey over blue as it will have a timeles look and will appeal to a larger group of buyers when you sell the boat someday.

If I may be so bold to say, I think having all the extra vertical lines in the floor (like in your template photo) looks too busy and outdated by today's designs. I much prefer having larger block or square segments as it looks less busy and more clean. Our boat is of the same gel scene with the swoosh graphics as yours but having the newer logo in the flooring and the walk thru helps keep the boat fresh looking IMO.

Either way you will love the cushion of the flooring and under foot, it says cool in the hot sun, cleans easily and dries super fast so no more wet carpet smells!

How long does it last? What do you do if/when it wears out?

Still looks good Noah! I like your idea but agree that larger pieces are more in style from what Iíve been seeing. I believe the 12 and 15 floor plan are the same.

Hope you are well. Say hello to the family for me!

Chris

After nearly 500 hrs our floor still looks like new. No reason to even worry about replacing anytime soon. But to answer your question just replace it like any else. It's not glued down like old boats with non-removable carpeting but rather attached with pressure sensitive adhesive like used on a decal so not a big deal to remove.

I see you replaced the factory seadek on the walk through. Did it clean off easily?

The walk thru is a must do!

The factory hard rubber will burn your feet on a sunny day. (Same as the rubber on the rear platform when it's not wet) Definitely not what you want on a walk thru area.

The closed cell foam of the Aqua Marine deck does not get hot, ever. Huge plus.

Stock rubber walk thru does clean off with a little work as with any adhesive. But so worth it to not burn your feet.

Will do! I'm actually thinking vertical lines in the center with a diamond pattern on the sides. I think it will tie in nicely with the upholstery. And let me know the next time you're out. I want to check out the new boat!

Did you ever find out if the 2015 template works for the 2012? Thanks

Yes, I confirmed that 2012 and 2015 are the same template. The part number for the carpet is identical.
