ZF Hurth Transmission Question

I am scared to ask this question but here it goes. I was on the lake yesterday, everything running smooth. Several wakeboard sessions, then on the way back it felt like we lost power but we were still moving. Then you could tell the transmission started to slip. Got back to the dock very slowly then looked at the trans dip stick. Is it supposed to look like this? Put a brand new engine in last year MCX 350 (Boat is 2005 Prostar 209).

Dipstick melt down. Rebuild.

I posted the photo because your link will eventually die and leave this thread barren.
