I don't think $13,500 seems high for that boat.

It's only got 279 hours and looks pretty damn clean from the photos.

I agree with the above based on hours, condition and time of year. I'd offer $12K and hope for a counter at $12.5K or there abouts. Take the grand you saved and buy the speed control you want.

Boats like these don't come along all the time and this one hits the sweet spot of boats with the least amount of issues from a quality perspective with Nautique.

A 01 like that (same hull) just sold in Indiana for 16k. Perfect pass but not stargazer.
Prices can be regional and supply / demand based.
Available when you want it and good condition / maintenance would easily drive a premium I i were buying.... not worth missing something to want for 500 or even 1000 if you plan to keep a few or more years.
Its summer. Right now.

Yes, my brother ended up buying it. He did have to pay a premium for it, but it wasn't way off track especially considering the time of year. They're excited about it for sure!

I think CorrectCraft used wood for their stringers for a long time. Not sure what the cutoff year. Seems like late 90s.

Yes, i know they stayed wooden several years longer than mc. For some reason i was thinking late 80s to early 90s. I probably should've checked on that for him. I don't figure there's much to worry about though. This was a course skier's boat originally up until 2016 when this guy bought it and he didn't use it much. I figure stringer rot is slim to none.

My understanding was that they moved away from wood in 93.
