2007 XStar SS Edition

Hi guys,

We bought our 07 Xstar SS in October last year. She's been fantastic, but I've got the bug to pick up something a little newer in the near future. I'm curious to see what y'all think I should list it for, and what a realistic selling price would be.

The service record is completely up to date. It has only been serviced by certified Mastercraft techs. South Florida Mastercraft did the inspection when I bought it. We put 50 hours on it very quickly, so I sent it to get it serviced again by our local MC dealer, Action Water Sports. Given that it's a 13 year-old inboard, I told them to repair/replace absolutely everything that they even remotely considered it would need any time soon. Total R/R ~$13,500

- 2007 Mastercraft Xstar SS Saltwater Series
- LY6 Multi-Port EFI 6.0 V8 Engine, by Crusader Captain's Choice (GM Vortec 6000)
- 400 Horsepower
- Saltwater-rated
- 255hrs
- Two owners
- Professionally serviced only by certified MC Dealers (South Florida Marine 2007-2019, and Action Water Sports 2019-2020)

Recently fully serviced/upgraded (Oct 2019 & Feb 2020) with the following ($13,500 total parts/labor)
- New Fuel Injectors (Feb 2020)
- New Blower (Feb 2020)
- New Stern Ballast Pumps (Feb 2020)
- New Shaft Packing (Feb 2020)
- New Alternator (Feb 2020)
- New Starter (Feb 2020)
- New Belts (Feb 2020)
- New Stern Zinc (Feb 2020)
- Fuel Tank Clean-out (Feb 2020)
- Tach Module (Oct 2019)
- New Potentiometer (Oct 2019)
- New Throttle Body (Oct 2019)

Upgraded Features:
- StarGazer Perfect Pass Cruise Control
- Fly-High Ballast System (2 extra bags in the stern, 2 in the bow; adds an additional 1,900lbs of ballast, for a total of ~2,900lbs)
- Upgraded 400hp Engine
- Z5 Performance Sport-Rack Bimini Top
- Full Color, Mounted Garmin GPS Navigation
- 2 Tower Lights
- Matching Fiberglass Swim/Boarding Platform
- Matching Tandem Axle Trailer (New tires plus spare and new electric wiring, Oct 2019)
- GUEST ChargerPRO 10amp Installed On-board Battery Trickle Charger

Saltwater Series Features:
- Hydraulic Steering
- Marelon Non-Corrosive Thru-Hull Fittings
- Sealed Waterproof Wiring
- Stainless Steel Shocks, Fasteners, Windshield, and Stantions
- Upgraded Zinc Anodes
- Self-bailing cockpit with Scuppers
- Fresh Water Engine Flush Kit

Standard Features (Y'all are already familiar with these -- But here it is anyway):
- Stock Ballast System (250lbs Port, 250lbs Starboard, 500lbs Center)
- Towable Boat Cover
- 2 Built-in Swivel Clamping Wakeboard Racks (holds 2 boards each)
- Clarion Head-Unit, JL Audio AM/FM/Aux/CD Stereo System with 8 JL speakers, plus 1 JL Subwoofer, including 2 JL Tower Projection Speakers
- LCD Display (Depth, Hour Meter, Water Temp, Alarm Messages)
- Bolster Seat
- Tower Mirror Mount
- ZeroFlex Flyer Tower
- 4-Blade 14inch OJ Propeller
- Stainless Exhaust Tips
- Walk-thru Billet Door

The interior upholstery is in surprisingly good condition, especially considering it's 13 years old. The engine cover/sundeck upholstery is cracking, but fully functional.

I'd consider the matching trailer to be in sub-par condition. I'll send detailed pictures if anyone really wants me to share them. BoatMate's tubing design holds water, and is a critical design flaw, especially for use in saltwater. Both South Florida Marine and Action Water Sports said it's in fine condition though.

That being said, I've used it without any issue for a 5 hour trip from Boynton Beach to St. Pete, and two 2-hour trips back-and-forth from Polk City. We keep the Xstar on the lift behind my house, so I've only gotten the trailer wet twice. We've meticulously cleaned it after each use.

Brand new tires installed Oct 2019. It is currently being kept under cover at my office. The brakes do not work. My Chevy Colorado tows it fine without brakes. We use the trailer so rarely that I haven't felt a need to fix it.

I think she's a great boat, but let me know what y'all think. Thank you!

-James

~$40k
All good things done to this XStar needed or not
put it side by side to another 06-07 XStar both same price yours should sell first due to the needed repair, maintenance and replacement, list it for ~$5k more and chances are you'll be sitting on it much longer than expecting

this 2008 was listed in May of 2019 for 45k. Not sure how much he ended up selling it for, but it didn't sell until February of this year (before **** hit the fan and the world ended)

I'd list it just a tad under $40k.

you probably don't want to know, but it was offered for far less than $45k more like $35k
