Nice boat! Talk about a boat that holds it's value, I'd say any clean MC barefoot 200 or Powerstar 200 are the best models for resale value.

Anyone know what the boat/motor sold for new in '93?
      I was njskier on here.

Some of the Barefoot 200 were rigged from the factory with Merc 200hp.......most common was the Yamaha ProV 200hp.

The boat is rated for 225hp.

No not really. Our '95 has a ProV 200 Yamaha.

It was really based on who the delaer was at the time that ordered / received the boat. The boats were not rigged with motors from the factory.

Most BF 200s you see have Yamahas on the back.

Did Mike Seipel have a hand in developing the BF200?

I seem to remember--or maybe want to remember--that he was sponsored by both MC and Yamaha. That's why you see most rigged with Yamaha's.

My mind could be way off though...

Other than the transom, is the hull of the BF200 different than a Prostar?

Yes, you are correct. He started with Ski Centurion which was powered by Yamahas on the Barefoot Warrior and then he teamed up with MC to re-design the Powerstar 200 into the Barefoot 200.

Basically the shape of the boat is different...BF200 is wider and maybe even a bit shorter. Interior design is totally different between models...

There is a thread on here that discusses the differences between the Prostar200 vs. Barefoot 200 vs. Powerstar 200...someone may be able to add the link.
