yes, changed those and yes I've caught a toe; I machined a brass pin with o-ring groves so you pull the pin and whola, the motor box cover is free for maintenance or whatever after removing the shocks.

      Yours is much nicer!

That seems like a decent deal with a little negotiation. However, I'd question a 92 with lt1. Something happened there. I've never seen anything older than 93, and those are pretty rare. Unless this was a very early test boat?

Bret - you are welcome. I'm the one that was supposed to buy Dave's boat today. I don't spend a lot of time on the forum but checked it last night and read all your posts about selling yours to buy his, so I contacted Dave last night and told him to sell it to you as you have a history with the boat. I was planning to buy it as a second boat and it honestly wouldn't get as much use as it will with you. Now go buy it and pick it up from Dave or arrange to have it shipped soon before I change my mind as I know I'll end up regretting this decision. Even if your boat doesn't sell today I would find a way like Eastie said to get Dave a check and pick it up quickly.

Not sure what to say Tim...thank you! All three who wanted mine have been emailed and made contact with two. I've started quotes on getting it shipped already with two different locations, Dave and I can work that out.

Thanks again, boat was originally in Tulsa, owner on a ski trip, house lost power, block cracked. He sourced a new short block, I was just leary and Mark Redman bought the boat from him. Mark transferred to NAS Pensacola, sold the boat to the McCluskys across the lake from me and I believe that is who Dave bought it from. #1 and #3 are here in AR at last check, I believe this one is #17 but will have to get hull ID and check with MC to verify unless Dave knows for sure.

Hope to have all this completed in a few days, one of the guys was planning on picking mine up this weekend till I "called it off" but we will see.

I agree, classy move and thank you, my wife says thank you, and my son is thrilled.

Thanks guys. I hope it all works out as well. I felt terrible buying this as a second boat for very limited use (pun intended) when Bret was out there trying to sell his '94 in order to buy it and use it as his primary boat. Plus the history he has with the boat is amazing. Logistically it was going to be a challenge with my busy schedule for me to drive to NJ today and bring it to NY for now, then bring it at some point over the summer to our house in SC where it would only be used for maybe a week or two a year at the most. It was the right thing to do!

Bret - tell your wife she is welcome. I'm glad your son is thrilled! That's what it's all about. It's funny because when I told my 4 year old daughter yesterday morning that I couldn't spend the day with her today because I was going to be away all day driving to NJ to buy another boat, she said to me that we already have a really nice boat and don't need a second one as we could just bring ours to SC when we go down there for a visit. It was cute to hear her say that and the sincerity in her voice about it was truly priceless. Then I hopped on the forum yesterday afternoon and read the thread and it was an easy decision to contact Dave. I did feel bad backing out on Dave at the last minute so I'm really hoping everything goes thru as he was gracious enough to hold it for me while I found a day to get down there for a water test. Have a great weekend everyone!

I believe it was confirmed in the Craigslist thread that it was actually one of the rare 93s with the LT1 engine.

Huge karma coming your way, Tim!

Bret, you should've sold that 94 to me back in 2006!

Yours is one of 3 MCs I wanted back when I was looking. When you decided to keep it, I went rogue!

                                Hope you get Dave's.
