Red and Sand Stars and Stripes 1:1 for sale in Middle Tn. She turns heads everywhere she goes, more thumbs up in this ride than any other boat I have owned. I looked hight and low for good specimen and found it in north Alabama last Spring. I survived a tornado when I was picking it up, but luckily it was in the owner's garage...true story. I brought it home, worked on it all summer replacing wood on observer and driver seat with new marine grade plywood and stainless staples, I had my mechanic work on the engine and got it running better than it probably ran new. But, only one problemo, my wife loves the way it looks, but does not like spilling her drink while cruising around on the lake, so it needs a new home. I thought about leaving it in the dry storage and seeing if my wife would realize I still own it, but too honest for that bold move, so it has to go. It's an awesome boat and needs to go to someone who will appreciate it. I knew what I had found when I went to look at it and so will you.
Red and Sand, factory cover, 1:1 trans, factory trick release, incredible paint, engine has new e ignition system, rebuilt carb, new wires, etc., prop with spare, Barefoot Intl boom with quick disconnect, and, for the bad, the rear seat cushion needs replacing, the speedo tubes need replacing, the sending unit to fuel needs replacement (I have it), and carpet has a few bad spots, and platform mounts need work, but do not leak. And, as everyone on this site knows- 1985 was last year for stars and stripes, and no wood whatsoever. Factory trailer.
It shows 300+/- hours on engine. When I bought it I checked compression and it was good. I think it might have been replaced, rebuilt with new hour meter because the block is not silver like PCMs were back in the day....
I bought the boat in Alabama last year, spent summer going through mechanical. My father had this exact boat when I was growing up. My wife does not like it for the weekends on our lake and I am just not skiing much, so bought a center console. It is located at Cedar Creek Yacht Club, Mt. Juliet Tn. $8,750 with boom, release, and prop email me at whawkinsAThawkinshogan.com or SIXONEfive-830-5177
