That boat has been on here too. A fellow TT member went to look at it (drove a long dang way) and it turned out to be much less than is represented in the ad and the photos (from 2005). It's not even close to what the seller Dave is presenting. TT member left it sitting where he found it.

Yep, I heard about the long disappointing road trip for nothing.
        Fugly tower to boot.
$15,500? Wow, I didn't even ask that much for my '93 Limited.
        I was njskier on here.

The tower alone drops the price $5000. How much air can you catch behind a 93? Maybe someone here will buy it and do a thread on tower removal and repair.

Unfortunately the one I wasted 20 hours of drivng to go get was the red one without the tower that is now listed on ski-it-again for $16,000 firm. Boy was I pissed! To sum up how angry I was for wasting 2 days of my time, I managed to make it home 2 hours faster than it took me to get out there!

As for the premium price, I told the owner I could have bought your Limited for less and his reply was that the Limited is not a Stars and Stripes. I tried to explain 25 Limiteds made vs. an unknown number of Stars ($750 factory option) and that the Limited has the LT1 and tandem trailer. I was again told it's not a Stars and Stripes! I gave up on the reasoning at that point.

I've resisted saying anything on here about it but would like to make one comment that I really don't understand why people post pictures in their for sale ad that were taken 11 years ago unless they are trying to hide stuff? Lesson learned on my part is to see something in person first before working out a deal to purchase and sending a deposit check, regardless of how many "near-perfect condition" pictures are sent to you. I guess the other 6 buyers that were willing to pay more than me without even looking at the boat or doing a water test must have all backed out as well seeing that it is back up for sale!

Just emailed the guy on ski it again asking for updated pictures and he said that he will try to get some but the boat looks the same as in the old pictures. T-bone you sure this is the same boat you saw?

Yes. Had a contract to buy it and drove out to pick it up last week as soon as it was out of storage. I was told the same thing on the pictures. They are from July 2005.

That's the one. If someone bought it I hope they did a full inspection, especially the bottom of the boat and running gear, as well as a water test.

There were apparently a number of folks on a waiting list that wanted it sight unseen based on the 11-year old pictures and description of "excellent" & "near-perfect" condition.

Free advice, if seller is not willing to send current photos run from the deal. The one thing I've discovered over the past several years is, "there's always a better deal out there", the key is patience.

I emailed him and he said the boat looks the same now as it did when the pictures were taken in 07. I hate people like that
