The early 2000s were some off years with all the issues with gauges, vinyl and such. They also seemed to step back from the extra styling we saw earlier and going forward into the mid 2000s. I would have expected more from a Sammy than whats in this year model. Couple bolt-on's, some stickers and an engine upgrade. Not really like in the past.

8.1 motor is pretty expensive. Full interior replacement is fairly expensive. Trailer work (guide pole on one side is bent, other seems to be missing entirely). That big smash in the back corner, which looks like it will be fiberglass and gelcoat work, will cost quite a bit.

Yeah this is where I landed with it. Those are just the known items. That level of abuse, there were likely lots more hidden issues. I still don't understand how they managed to crack the block while in use.

If I'd bitten on it, I'd have just repaired the motor and resold it with its cosmetic defects. The risk of being labeled unscrupulous ON TOP of the unknown issues was just too much, in the end.
