1981 Stars and Stripes

1981 Mastercraft Stars and Stripes, 351 Windsor Motor, Powerslot transmission $5,200
I am the second owner of this classic boat, I bought it from a friend about 18 years ago. It has served our family very well and it is time for the next adventure in its’ life. There are 1050 hours on the hour meter however, I rebuilt the motor and transmission entirely when it was near 700 hours so both are fairly fresh. The carburetor was rebuilt last year and should serve it well this year.
All the seat bases were redone with Starboard material last year, the vinyl is in good shape with a few minor defects from use. The hull in good shape however the metalflake has the clear coat worn off, it has been this way since I have owned the boat. I have wanted to restore it to it showroom beauty but other priorities always took hold. It is still a great all around ski boat that has a legendary wake.
This boat was pulling barefooters last summer and I was not planning to sell it initially this year but I have too many toys to maintain and something needs to go.

There were no hard distinctions between years. Still see some overlap even today.

I always heard that also but this is titled as an 81.
The Baby Blue was rare as well.

Our 81 has the rounded windshield, but there are 81s with the square out there...

Nice boat here. I see that the front vent is angled in the style used 1983-1986. Check your hull ID for confirmation on year.
