I’ll update this with pictures and hours this weekend. It’s time to let go to f my Prostar. Kids are adults and I’m turning into a lazy pontoon driver on the lake and I have a CC at the beach so it’s time to let her go.

Boat is clean and in good condition...I’m thinking $10k. Let me know if I’m off base.

Not a lot of details to help you with. Can you share the hours, pics, does it have perfect pass etc?

I have seen this hull and model year go for 12-14k if it is in great condition.

I sold my '96 prostar a few years ago for $10K, fwiw. I think I could have held out for $11 - 12K, but I was glad to see it go to a ski buddy of a longtime TT member. It was in excellent shape, although color was not one that everyone loves. (purple and white)
        Prior boats - (3) X14's, (3) Prostars, and a Tristar.

I sold a 97 a couple years back that was in great shape (both boat and trailer), super clean with the standard 350 Chevy for $12.7K but that was 3 days before memorial day not in the second week of the last month of summer.

Sold it in 6 days to the first person that came to look at it (which is typically the case with the boats I sell). That said I only had 3 calls on the boat. ProStars can be tough to move these days. You have to find the right person wanting that boat and it better be as close to perfect as it can be if you want to close the deal. I see a lot of people asking top dollar for boats that are just not in top shape, they tend to linger both on the dealers lots and on craigslist. Best to be brutally honest with the condition of your boat and price accordingly than to have people show up and leave without an offer. At least that's the way I approach it.

turner2 made a good statement: be honest about the boat. I've seen a few guys with bigger boats add a second boat to their inventory to get back to a great slalom wake and a boat that can make it through the course...if priced right.
Get it cleaned up, buffed, carpet shampooed, little items repaired (if any of that applies) and post some good pics - GLWS.

Post up some photos. I'm not above adding it for 10k.

I’m going to the lake this weekend and will post some pictures with detail. Thanks for the feedback thus far.

                      797 hours

Oil changed every fall no matter how many hours used. Probably the most used in a summer around 50 hours. Mobile 1 only. Winterized each year.

Had to replace some gauges but still have the original MC gauges for those that want to tinker and try to fix. Have a trick ski release. After market fuel sender but think I still have original. I don’t run her past 1/4 tank.

Boat has a 4-blade prop. Runs 45 mph. Very smooth and powerful.

Good shape for a 23 year old boat. Has a top and a cover. Cover is 2 years old.

Trailer is in okay shape. Used locally. I had to take the boat to B’ham dealer about 4 years ago so I had it serviced and check out then. Made the trip there and back find.

Replaced the steering cable last year. Replaced sound system this year, all Pioneer with amp. Replaced all wires that went with that. No sub woofer because i didn’t want to mount another battery.

Going to drop this on Craigslist in about a week. I had someone ask me about it this week.

I would love a MC enthusiast to have it over a local that just wants a bad a$$ inboard.

Bump for a good slalom tug at a reasonable price.
