I love a black boat, but decided against it to keep peace in the family. I know I would not be fun to be around in a boat that marks and spots that easily.

Black isn't for everyone, but I was happy with it in 4 different MC's.

Agree.

All black base here. No different than other colors I am around for summer temperatures. Hard to keep scuffs from showing. I use a lot of compounds and wax for a clean sheen, of which I enjoy the work.

No arguing black looks sleek and pretty in the show room or in the garage on the trailer but unless they've come out with "cool feel" black gel coat you'll sizzle on a sunny summer day. Water spots will also be a challenge as well. Heck the black accent colors on my boat are enough work for me.
