Just an update.. I opted not to pay $200 for a used one and bought a brand new one from medallion for $289 with a 1 year warranty

I just did the MDC delete so I have one from a 1999 Sportstar.

How much RJ? How long and difficult was the delete? That's what I really need to do....this will be my 3rd 1600. I'll prob do it this offseason so I just need a1600 for this summer.

Just clamp off the speedo lines or replace the rubber lines. Ur getting water from them causing the black box to get wet. Mine has run 10 years no issue after the easy fix. I run an old GPS for speed in the window.

I have them clamped off now....perfectpass for MPH....but now I need my gauges to work.

I can see how much it would be to ship and if it works for you I just want enough to cover a new speedo. Mine has 2 and the set only came with 1. New speedo on Amazon is $58.83 or the GPS is $99

It took me 2 days at a pretty leisure pace. My dash does not come off like the one in the picture so I had to add some wire to a couple of connections just to make it easier on myself. I probably need to read some more about the fuel sender issue that most seem to have. Let me know the zip and see what we can work out.
