I'm on Lanier too. I also have gen 1. Did you replace with something else. GLWS as gen 1 has been worthless too me except to push the nauticurl deeper for goofy side.

$250 seems like a steal for just the center tab alone, just consider the side tabs and actuators as a bonus.
