I use a a circular concave piece of glass used in chemistry known as a Watch Glass; 90mm in diameter if I recall correctly. Ridiculously inexpensive.

There is a particular drill bit for glass and tile, and use a drill press for precision. I found one at Home Depot.

Company sells a gps retrofit for your gauge. You can have the factory gauge with internal gps and eliminate the adjuster post or they also sell the glass and will drill it for you.

It is a nice upgrade. You can remove the pitots, pitot tubes ballast tubes etc.

They sell an external gps version that runs 2 gauges or if you do PP just do one internal.

I did the internal gps upgrade on my boat this year and it works well. You have to change the faceplate if your original one is meta,l as the gps won't work with the metal plate.

Found an old non-working spedo and salvaged the glass. All I will need to do is paint the border on the back of the glass this winter. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

I completely overlooked the change in style on the 85 from the older (convex) Airguides. Glad you got it done.
