I have a compression mold board now (cheap CWB ride) and was looking for something that will give more buoyancy so the larger riders that come out can drop the rope too

Never rode a Ride, but I can tell you that the Tako is very light and per the specs from IS' website, the board can handle up to 250+ lb person (see below). Not sure how big your crew is but that definitely caught my eye when I picked it up.Originally posted by kdale1 View Post

Yeah its so hard to find used blue lakes and spending $750 for a board is not something I really want to do but I guess I'll have to do it! I'll take a look into the Tako more and send you a PM if I wanna pull the trigger on it

You aren't missing out on ANYTHING with not finding a blue lake. Very overrated board. It is heavy and surfs like a barn door. The only thing it does well is go straight relatively quickly. We had one and nobody liked it.Comment
