I am going to look at a 1995 prostar 190 with 370 hours. The boat is very clean and you can tell from the pictures. it has the standard efi, not the lt1. 1:1 tranny, no powerslot. it doesn't come with the original trailer, but a 02 mastercraft trailer instead. no perfect pass, all stock boat. white and no fading at all. engine is really clean. snap on cover, bimini top as well.

Side note: i really wanted to possibly get a 91-94 because i hear great things about the wake for slalom. I only slalom ski, but i also pull my friend that wake boards. From what i've read, the 91-94 is the way to go for a slalom boat, but the 95 is good as well. Am i going to be happy with the slalom wake on a 95 or should i really wait a long time for a 94? I want fuel injection and a lot of the 94s around my area (if any) are clapped out, faded, and have a lot of hours. let me know what you think, thanks!

95-97 190 skis wonderfully. Has a great wake and less spray and IMHO is no better or worse than the 91-94 boats just a bit different. Without seeing photos the one you describe is probably a $14-16k boat.

I agree with BrianM on the ski-ability. The majority of people will argue about what wake is better, but reality is that (if you're not skiing short line in a course) you would have a tough time discerning what is better. The 95's ski great.

I wouldn't price that boat that high though. Personally I would not pay more than 11k-ish. It may have low hours, but no options either.

Agreed. $11- 12K tops and Brian is the voice of subject matter expert. Spot on for both opinions here.

without extra goodies... plus 1 on the 11-12 tops.. I have a 1995 205 and without goodies - it's not worth more than 12K.

thanks for the help guys. His price did seem pretty rich.. i got him down to what you guys are saying about, but he mentioned a slight tear in the rear seat. i might wait it out and get a 91-94. i guess a carb isn't the biggest deal in the world and somewhat better for simplicity.

12950 is a good starting point.. you will enjoy the EFI... that price includes the summer premium which he will get in a few months.. if he doesn't budge - then he doesn't want to sell

what's with galvanized trailer... is he first owner? very low hours... but that does not raise price.

he told me his cash price is 11.5k he's just being pushy about it and i dont like how the rear seat is ripped. id rather spend 9k on a 91-94 with perfect pass i think. he sent me pictures of it on a blue mastercraft trailer. i dont like how it is longer than the boat and puts the axle farther back. he isn't the original owner and has owned it for "a few years"

I smell a rat deal or less than desirable.

That 95 has been for sale a while. Nothing special about it. It is a bare bones base model. He has come down in price since last year.
