New to the forum and needing information.

    https://houston.craigslist.org/boa/d...685870079.html

I’m going to look at this boat on Saturday and was wanting yalls opinion on the price as advertised. I was also hoping y’all could give me some items to look for when checking out the boat. Are there any known leaking issues with this year/model of boat?

Lastly, do y’all think the ez-loader trailer is okay for this boat? All the photos of Prostar 205s that I have seen show them on trailers with a support below the bow of the boat. Should I be worried about that?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Looks like they are loading the boat up well... id be wondering when tranny needs rebuilt.
Looks fairy clean though. New spotter seat base.
Does trailer have prop guard? Used in saltwater?

Conroe combined with the galvanized trailer have me worried about brackish water. I would look for corrosion, etc. I would def check the exhaust manifolds and risers. The trailer looks fine for the boat other than the lack of prop gaurd.

Conroe is a fresh water lake fed by the San Jacinto river so no concern of saltwater. Is not having a prop guard a major concern?

Looks like driver's seat and passenger seat have been repaired. Different shade of white.

Also concerned about the front of the whole boat not being supported very well compared to the factory trailer.

You need a prop guard to protect the prop. They are known to skid on the road on low clearance areas...you need that or your prop will be the "skid"....and then replace prop.

I'd also like to know the number of total hours on boat? Why rebuilt?

Understandable on the prop guard. The gentleman selling the boat said that the motor was rebuilt because he wore it out. Assuming he got quite a bit of use out of the boat, being that he lives so close to the lake.

Looking at the trailer and it not having a V-Guide under it, I would check under the tip of the bow for damage to the gel. I had a similar situation and my bow was destroyed. Good luck!
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

If the motor was worn out, how many hours before he replaced it? 1200 - 1500 hrs??
