It was a beautiful morning - sunrise, fog on the water, loons calling -- all that classic "Up North" stuff. Not a boat on the lake - all the ripples you see were made by us.
The guy skiing is a rep for an orthopedic equipment and total joint company. He was really rippin' it up at 32 off, although I suspect he was dogging it a little without any buoys to aim for. First time our little group has ever needed one of those recoil-thingies on the rope.
The video camera I was using was one of those Flip video MinoHD's. It's a little one-hour high-def camera that's smaller than a Hershey bar. Very cool device - youtube doesn't do the video quality justice. Been using it for almost a year. Highly recommended.

[QUOTE=bigmac;629053]Water temp was 65. Air temp was 60, though, so the water felt warm. It's been a cool summer - I haven't really seen the water temp above 72. It's why god created wet suits, I guess.

I love that stuff. A few hours later and no need for the wetsuits. One of my favourite places to ski is a lake in northern Montana that is just like that in the morning. By the time all the wally's show up the fog is gone, the sun is high and we are finished skiing for the morning. Of course the water is still smooth for them because we drive a "P pattern" to ski and do not know what this "powerturn" people speak about is when returning to the skier. Then I sit on the beach beside the boat launch with a coffee and watch the gong show. Used to be outboard and I/O owners put on the show but sadly these day's guy's in inboards put on equal shows, ski naturd owners only though
I will have to check out those recorders, thanks for the tip.
