Ah, but there are some really stunning days at Mead, too. Shh! Don't tell anyone! Where do you put in, Las Vegas Marina?? We usually go out of Callville, but say hi if you see us!!

              • This afternoon...

when I got home from work and was watering the tomatoes today...

I think they like the lake water since that's what I put on them...or maybe they just like the view. They are doing pretty good considering they just about got frozen during the last cold spell a few weeks ago.

Oh...and the water looks pretty good too, Huh? Hopefully I'll get the muffler in and be out there tomorrow...

Here's another shot from a little later in the day, from the front side of the house. That guy across the lake has a 1938 Chris-Craft in that grist mill with a lift. Pretty nice setup...

You can't tell from the pictures, but there are islands on the far side and it was smooth, not glass, which is still great considering it was windy today. Private Property NO BOATS ALLOWED!

You guys have some beautiful water!

Ever tried to get an authorisation for skiing on that quarry ?
Accept to sign any release that they want...Would be an amazing site!
I drive by a similar small quarry every day to go to work. It's closed now and looks just like a man made lake
                          Keep skiing!!!

                          • The ski club I'm in leases an old quarry from a developer - we've got a few years until he gets to our property but there are several others nearby that look pretty sweet. The problem is that developers are onto that trick, buying them up, and putting megabucks houses on them. Hopefully they aren't all eaten up in the foreseeable future; depending on the lakes around here for course skiing would be really expensive and/or downright depressing!

                              • Here is one from Thursday evening. Near perfect conditions. It was starting to get dark but you can still just make out the course bouys to the right of the ski dock.
