I'm pursuing my lifelong quest for the perfect, the absolutely driest martini to be found in this or any other world. And I think I may have hit upon the perfect formula:

This afternoon...
when I got home from work and was watering the tomatoes today...
I think they like the lake water since that's what I put on them...or maybe they just like the view. They are doing pretty good considering they just about got frozen during the last cold spell a few weeks ago.
Oh...and the water looks pretty good too, Huh? Hopefully I'll get the muffler in and be out there tomorrow...
Here's another shot from a little later in the day, from the front side of the house. That guy across the lake has a 1938 Chris-Craft in that grist mill with a lift. Pretty nice setup...

The ski club I'm in leases an old quarry from a developer - we've got a few years until he gets to our property but there are several others nearby that look pretty sweet. The problem is that developers are onto that trick, buying them up, and putting megabucks houses on them. Hopefully they aren't all eaten up in the foreseeable future; depending on the lakes around here for course skiing would be really expensive and/or downright depressing!

Here is one from Thursday evening. Near perfect conditions. It was starting to get dark but you can still just make out the course bouys to the right of the ski dock.sigpic
