  • some new owner questions...

ok well I just bought my first boat about a month ago, but have been wakeboarding since i was little. I have already broken my ear drum behind this boat and all I can say is I love it. But anyway, on to my questions.
First, I already put a second battery in the boat, and hooked them up in parellell for now. After reading threw quite a few posts, it would seem that the best option for a selector between the two would be the Perko selector, but in looking at them there are quite a few different models out there but as far as I can find, there are no guides to tell me which one it is that i need.
Second, the old tower speakers were hooked up by linking the second pair strait from the first, rather than running four separate wires up the tower. I am in the process of buying new speakers but was not sure if it is ok to hook them up in the same way, or if I should run two new wires.
Third, know that i can get the rocker switches on the dashboard from the local dealer, but since my favorite dealer is three and a half hours away, I was wondering if anyone knew another way to get the same ones somewhere else.

Well Thank you for any help you can give me in advance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new boat.

As far as dual battery, one of our members here Diesel wrote a great post on what to do. When I get around to it, that's how I plan to wire mine. I'll find the thread in a bit and post it. Here it is: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...battery+thread

As far as wiring 2 speakers off the existing 2, you probably shouldn't. Search for some of JimN's replies to questions like this. He is the resident audio/ overall expert here.

He meant registering as a member on this forum. It doesn't cost anything, no obligation, no spam etc. You don't even have to own a boat.

That's odd, unless TTAdmin hasn't validated your registration yet. Sometimes that can take a few days. There's only one active administrator for over 6800 members and it can be a very busy job, especially for someone who has many other duties at corporate HQ.

As to Team MasterCraft, the decision as to whether or not to join would be in large part dependent on what you get on joining for your $30. IIRC, there's a $50 gift certificate. The value of THAT depends on whether or not there is $50 worth of merchandise that you'd want in the Pro Shop or Team MasterCraft exclusive items.

There used to be a hit-or-miss magazine and for awhile there was a hit-or-miss e-news news letter. I don't know what the current status of those is but my impression is that they're currently non-existent.

This may explain the "Newbie" part listed under your screen name, http://mastercraft.com/teamtalk/show...8&postcount=38
See if your screen name is listed in the "Members List".

You are in the "Members List" with 4 posts!

Don't know what's going on and I'm begining to not care anymore. Good luck finding someone to help sort it out!
I guess the train is still somewhat out of control and screwed up from the server migration and there is nobody at MC behind the controls trying to cure the problems, so we'll just ride till it jumps the tracks! We have a problem thread, but IIRC only one time has anybody acknowledged it exists and things are still going on, no updates, just silence.

I know, I know, it's all my fault, somebody go ahead and freaking Say It!
I'll get blamed for it anyway for some reason!

Rant over! Well, maybe not! Stay tuned!

That's TMCNo1, not TMC who is one of those over this site and part of this list, http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showgroups.php, thank you!
No, just pizzed! And people wonder why so many regulars are doing their own migration to other manufacturer and generic sites. Those other sites have at minimum, a little support and involvement from the managers and originators of the sites and they have moderators who are truely active and have the powers to do their job. Unlike here, the occasional public butt chewing/banning for something having been done that nearly gets the site shut down!
