X30 equipment question

What is this? I was winterizing the boat and saw hoses coming out of it but not sure of its purpose. It is in the starboard aft locker and connected to a carpeted box under the cooler seat behind the driver.

The black oval cross section cylinder looks like a fuel vent carbon canister.

The hose out of the oval part runs to the carpeted box then a hose out of the box runs under the floor. Seems odd that other boats don’t have them.
