I'm glad to see you guys have your boats for summer. With the apparent mishap pertaining to mine I'm very concerned. Was told that the boat was lake tested, which meant it was built. Then gel coat issues, now the hull had to be made again. They are claiming the components are there and it's being assembled. I told my wife, I just can't see them putting the previous components in the corner while the new hull was made. I have a feeling those components in the corner were used for other boats to ship them, and now I'm on the bottom of the list for new components to be shipped to the factory. I hope that's not the case. SteveO's comments about getting boats out the door with higher margin really stuck in my head. Thanks SteveO ha ha. I'm also wondering if larger dealers are getting preferential treatment in this process as well. Perhaps this is all in my head. I'm getting anxious (which I don't normally do). Got a new wakeboard, new ski, harnesses from ECyclone, new JL amps, and a basement full of equipment (from my trade in boat) sitting in the basement. I'm also seeing all the boats coming out of storage on the roads by my house. I couldn't imagine boating season starting without a boat. That reality is setting in everyday that goes by.

New Boat Delays?

I've got an NXT22 "scheduled" for completion next week, ordered Nov 4th, ironically right when they did their "deck the dock" ad campaign. I always expected it would get delayed, and a month or so wouldn't impact me all that much. However, I'm getting a little worried I'm not getting a better picture this close to the estimated build date.
One thing in the back of my mind... I go out and look at new boats to get excited and see a lot of inventory on some of the bigger dealers' sites. This makes me wonder why they've got people like me waiting and wondering, but there's new boats sitting on dealer lots? I understand there's a balance, but those of us that did it right shouldn't feel like we're on the back burner.Chris

plus even if you get the boat at the start of this season it doesn't guarantee it wont have some sort of mfg defective part that fails prematurely or have to go back to service and wait on backordered part replacements. Always unlikely but never the less a possibility. Not meant to scare you but par for the course if anything.
You're in good hands with mastercraft, they take pride in their builds and they're not going to rush product through to try an pump profits because they'll lose those profits on the warranty side if they don't get things right. specially on a boat that has a buyer signed onto it compared to blanket dealer stockroom orders. the only parts getting pulled off production floor are parts going out to owners that just took delivery and are experiencing component failures and those are getting pulled from dealer stock orders not buyer orders.
plan a vacation an look forward to that, then look forward to getting the boat later on. Just need something to distract your excitement for a bit. Its a wild market to buy new things in.

Take a closer look cm02WS6. There are almost zero NXT 22's out there. All their slots have been full for a while and there are zero NXT 22's anywhere around here. Our dealer had two build slots for the NXT 22. Me and another guy. They received one 22 and one 20 for the show room and they were gone within two weeks. Much larger market and demand for a 140k boat versus 300k. X stars and XT's are on the floor. Wish I could afford one.

Thanks Lakelife. Ya. I think it depends on a lot the dealer. I can only speak for WI. None here. We got every option except dockstar. Hard to find dealer stock optioned up with good colors. It takes good colors to make a nice looking NXT in my opinion.

I finally got an update on my X22 build...there are painting issues, sounds like they've had serious employee turnover in that area, which has resulted in bubble in the gel coat which do not pass final inspection. My boat will need to be repainted, I'm now going to be about 2 months behind from when it was originally supposed to be completed.

There has been long delays in production since July 2021. I ordered a 2022 prostar in march last year, generally i was told it would arrive approx Sept / October into Australia. I finally got the boat Jan 4th 2022 with a long list of warranty work required when i picked it up. Luckily my dealer who is great to work with ordered all the replacement parts while i continued to use the boat and then rectified all the items 2 months later.2020 XT Sold

Well - Not sure if the last update was correct. No boat yet and the factory has quit giving updates on it. Don't even ask they told the dealer. There is a Facebook thread for new NXT's. It seems as though they are trickling in very slowly. Zero word on mine. Hope they change the hull # to a 2023. The boat is already a year old on paper by the time I get it.
The good news is, Redline Watersports in Madison, WI is giving us a loaner boat to use until mine comes in. Thanks Paul Vitucci (owner) and my salesman DJ. My wife and I will be on the water for Memorial Day weekend. I'll keep you guys posted.
