I buy lots of other equipment (forklifts, trucks, conveyor, etc...) as part of my job. I see repeated delays across the whole spectrum right now. When you get one date, and then other date, I typically see it due to reliance on supplier part delivery schedules or ocean shipping issues. Manufacturers make their schedules based on agreed delivery contracts from parts suppliers. For example, Mastercraft buys fuel pumps. Mastercraft makes their production schedule based on a planned set of deliveries from the fuel pump company. If the fuel pump company becomes un-reliable in their deliveries that then ripples through Mastercraft's production schedule. They then publish a new schedule, but then the fuel pump company delays again. And so on...

In today's [current] world, I get the unknowns in the manufacturing process and their inability to provide dates... I deal with it daily from suppliers.

BUT, I would be very upset on your end if you aren't at least getting responses. Not necessarily answers, as they may not have them, but at least responses. They don't have to give you a date, and I'd rather they not give you false promises or guesses.... but a reply would certainly be nice... even if all they say is they're doing the best they can but maybe don't know when it'll be ready... and surely they know more that they could provide. Customer service across the board was already dieing breed, but for whatever reason, covid gave companies reason to simply kill it off completely.

    Just my $0.02.

Was told three weeks ago it was being lake tested which means next step is ship the boat. After going into the dealer was then told there's gel coat issues. Sounds like some really bad lies from the Mastercraft rep. At least tell me a good lie. Was also told they have all the components. This has been going on since last high school wrestling season. Never seen anything like it, but I understand it's happening everywhere not just Mastercraft.

My guess would be they are shuffling build dates around based on parts inventory and what boats they can build with the parts they have on hand, but that's just pure speculation. They also probably feel behind earlier this year when omicron struck and they were short stuffed. This is all just speculation on what happened at our manufacturing facility.

Thanks Taco - there's got to be someone out there that has some simple answers. If it's not going to be here until June, July, just say that? I guess I'll be treating myself to some new golf clubs because it looks like I may be using them more this year.

I can't help other than to offer up the info that you're not the only one. My buddies x26 was supposed to be delivered last month, now possibly mid May.... another friend can't get anything on his XT build....

    New Boat Delays?

I ordered a 2022 NXT 22 last October. Was told it would be finished in January (winter build). It is now April 18th and Mastercraft, nor the dealer know where the boat is? I'm getting nervous because I'm behind my boat three days a week during the summer and warm weather will be here next week in Wisconsin.

I understand supply and employee issues. Is there something else going on at the plant? Can't get any information for a boat that takes a week to make. Any other insight on this one? We traded our other boat in last fall so I'm boatless.
Working...
