Agree here, more likely a ballast leak combined with non-working bilge pump and a guy not paying attention to what was going on with his boat.

wouldn't be surprised if this was staged. Heavy D and the Diesel Brothers are heavily promoting their recovery capabilities lately, so this could have been to drum up channel views. and yes, they do have the money to blow on something like this if it gets them millions of views.
