depth finder issue X26

We took our new to us 2016 X26 for its maiden voyage last night and out of the hour we spent on the boat it probably only read a depth for maybe 5-8 minutes. It would come on for short spurts, maybe 10-15 seconds and then it would display no reading. We were in no-wake zones for a large amount of the time and it would act the same if on plane. Anyone have a fix?

The depth / temp bi-ducer is likely failing. Unfortunately, they aren't cheap. But they are easy to change since they are mounted in a holder through the hull. You just have to unscrew the retaining ring pull the old one out and slide the new one in. I think this is the right one for your boat, but check the part #.
