X9 with stiff throttle

I have an 06’ X9 with drive by wire. The throttle is terribly stiff. Its not the tension set screw, it’s only stiff in gear. If I give it throttle in neutral with shifter disengaged there is zero tension. Help please

Sounds like you need to replace the shift cable.

Hmm would that give me problems throughout the rpm range ? Its not stiff at shift, half throttle is the worst.

Disconnect the throttle cable behind the armrest and see if it smooth. If not replace the throttle you can buy the non electronic version and move your Pedal position sensor over to the new one to save some bucks. I did this last year. Takes about 30 minutes to swap the parts
