well if it’s older and still not affecting the wave that’s a pretty decent sign lol

Ya I think Malibu is smart enough to make sure it does not affect the wave performance.

I don't think it affected waver performance much in the 23 we were on. Regardless it wasn't an option we wanted to pay for.

This might be the best update of them all for '23. On my '20 we have already had to replace the cool feel on the R/S seat by the handle and on the seat portion where everyone steps. I would happily pay to have it replaced with the step on top and on the seat to prevent that wear.

I also never see anyone sit in that spot and rarely take more than 7-8 people out so we dont need that seat as is.

I'd love if the XT line had two more options available: underwater exhaust and thruster. But maybe it's those two options that cause people to jump to the X Series.

We've been discussing this often in my household. We all love the XT24. But, we don't like how loud it is. I'm told by our dealer that it's less loud with the 6.2, but have not experienced that. It's got us seriously considering an X24 but it's a lot of $$.

I have the 22 XT24 and have the 6.2. I can hear the motor but can also have a conversation without yelling. I used to have a DD Maristar. I don’t think any boat is completely quiet. But have never had a surf pipe. I’m sure that would help. But never have I thought “man this boat is too loud.” For us spending another 40+k for an X series was not worth it. I think it depends on your finances. Would I love to have the better rear loungers, surf pipe, and thruster sure. But wasnt worth the extra price tag at this stage.

but at the end of the day we still spent 170+ on a boat. So whatever your comfortable with. We love it and have already had great memories this summer.

Has anyone priced out some of the 23 X series? A 23 Xstar with normal options (plus a thruster) was 328k MSRP!!!

Yep, I was told I would be in the $270-280k for a new Xstar without talking specifics. I think pricing went up like 30% in just the last two years.

12% or so in 2022 and another 14% for 2023. I got a quote on a 2023 G23 with a bit more options and the MSRP is actually about 36k less! 292k. Thinking about trying a G this next season if I sell my x24.

I was quoted about $275k for a pretty well optioned xstar s a few weeks ago before the '23s came out. Same boat now is 300k+. Its insane. I bought my 20 for half that used 2 years ago.

I would be interested to know how that boat is optioned. I've not been able to get anywhere close to that with our dealer on an in stock XT24 with a 6.0. Even some of the builds we looked at tin the spring were nowhere near 170 and none had the 6.2.

I agree with your position on the X features for the price territory. The XT surfs very, very well and we really like it.

Ya not great. We love our xstar but I would love to move to something with the new surfstar system and make a few changes but I dont think thats happening. It doesnt seem like dealers are doing anything in terms of discounts on orders either, unless Im just barking up the wrong tree.
