  • Re-Waterproofing 2005 X-star cover (Using Starbright solvent waterproofing)

    Hey Everyone,

Looking to see if anyone has any feedback on using the Starbright (solvent-based) waterproofing product. (images below of the container and directions)

Im looking to give this product a try on my 2005 Xstar OEM cover - the cover is in good condition it just doesn't bead water. Im going to do a full cover replacement next year but looking for something to water proof the OEM cover for the summer.

Looking at the directions on the back it clearly states, do not use if your cover is "laminated, coated or backed" im pretty positive mine is not, but any clarity or thoughts on this is much appreciated.

Let me know if anyone has any success (or regrets) with this product.

If I go this route, I will happily share my results.

I used that stuff on my 2005 XStar cover (not an MC original cover) and it worked great.
