Interesting discussion. I haven't been on this forum for a while and not because of new look of TT. It was more a matter of deciding I no longer needed to be dreaming or researching a new boat and didn't need to keep up with latest developement. MC lost me when they took advantage of the market madness during covid. While I would have stayed around my main interest is wake foiling which doesn't seam to be shared here. I spend my time on foiling forums now. Hate Facebook but like instagram for posting. Glad I checked in. Hope you are all doing well.

I periodically cruise several forums and FB groups for MC and Malibu. Hopefully this forum sticks around for a while. It's a wealth of knowledge and resources especially for older boats and folks who do their own maintenance. FB won't be able to replicate that anytime soon and isn't at all organized like this forum is.1991 Prostar 190

How exactly did MC take advantage of covid? It's not like anyone was required to buy a boat. Personally, I was pretty impressed they were able to not only continue producing boats but introduce new models while dealing with worker shortages and supply chain issues. What SHOULD they have done to keep your interest?

I said they took advantage of "market madness" which there certainly was plenty of in my opinion. Inflation was crazy so I'm not going to criticize them for maximizing profits during worker and supply shortages but it left me wanting no part of it after planning to get a new '22 model. I still have my X20 which I am still very much a fan of and turns out is all I need for now.
