Going to pull the docks and lifts out this coming weekend and winterize the boat. How long are you going to keep yours in?

We usually make it to mid-October / first week of November here in SW Michigan. Water temps start to dip, but there's still plenty of chances for a nice day through about then.
It's kind of funny that come April, we'll be all in when the water temp reaches the upper 40's / low 50's, and the air finally hits upper 60's.... then after a nice summer.... we start to whine when the water drops back into the 60's and we might see a high air temp in the low 70's come October... hahaha.

They just approved the fall extension on our lake, so it won't start being drained until mid-October. Hoping to make it until almost Thanksgiving before I have to pull the boat out.
I have buddies that keep their boat at the marina dry stack and only winterize last minute when needed -- it's nice to have them around when we get a couple warm days in December or January to get out and ride.

It takes us three weekends to leave the lake. I’ll pull the prostar Oct 14, take out the docks and lifts with the neighbours on the 21 and close up the cottage last weekend in October. We winterize the cottage like the boat, drain the water and add a bit of pink to the toilet, sink drains and water heater and let it freeze over the winter (it’s three season, we don’t have heat other than a small electric space heater for early/late in the season).
Like 86 we get things going fast in the spring, last week of April we open up and get the docks out and first week of May we float!
