'05 Tower on '00????

Cost is $$$$. I have heard in the $3k-$4k range when you get racks and a bimini.

I do not see why an '05 tower would not fit on an '00. I think prostar205 on the boards has an '05 tower on his '02 X-30... PM him and find out what the deal is.

Thanks Sodar for posting this. I did not even see this thread. My boat is an '02 X-30 (same top hull as the '00 MS230 so the '05 tower will fit. I can't give you any specifics on the install because I got the boat the way you see it here. The MC factory put this tower on just before I bought the boat. I can tell you that you'll have to get backing plates made for the feet since the ones in the '00 MS230 that are put in at the factory during the construction process are not in place where the new '05 tower feet land.

Posted this over on MYMC's forum a couple weeks ago and no joy, so I'll try here. I'm pretty sure you can put the '05 tower on a '00 230VRS, no? In addition to the more modern look this will allow you to run swivel board racks, right? The big question - where can I find the '05 tower? I checked New Dimension and they only seem to list the older '99-'04 style towers on their site. Obviously the '06-up towers won't work 'cause of the wider beam. Any suggestions? I thought briefly about a Monster or other aftermarket brand, but just prefer the factory ND look.

I have a feeling you gotta bend over and bite down hard on something when you hear it, but if I could order it from MYMC, BAWS, or ??? what's the ballpark price for the '05 tower? I'm looking to upgrade the boat with a tower and a Wakeboard Pro Star Gazer this summer before baby #3 arrives in a couple weeks and the wife discovers my stash of petty cash. The New Dimension tower is sort of the upper end of my budget if I wanna do the Perfect Pass too. I'm betting a factory tower is gonna be quite a bit more, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
