while i wanted a Prostar, the Maristar allows more room for wife, children, grandchildren and friends. My wife and I also wanted to be more intentional about taking along those who don't have the means or opportunity to get on the water. So room was a big factor. Also, the lakes around here are often busy and the good Lord likes to push the air across the land in a hurry so a boat to handle the chop needed to be considered. That's it in a nutshell
Traded in my Prostar 190 for the Maristar 200 to accommodate the whole family and their friends. After two summers our dog passed on, kids got older and became more interested in cell phones and Facebook. Wishing I had my Prostar 190 back.

98 PS 205. Chosen for the wake, has enough room for the girls and their friends, and because the price was in my budgeted range. Will be used primarily on a private lake for skiing, tubing (gasp!), and whatever other watersports the girls decide they like as they grow up.
I always wanted a MC. When i was a kid my family always went to Lake McQueeney in Texas to the waterski resort and i learned behind the Resort's boats they were always either MC's or Nautiques.
Figuring out what MC I wanted was a different story. I originally was looking at a PS 205, then a 205V because of the open bow and the potential for a good wakeboarding wake. After researching and going on a few forums including this one, i found out that the 00-02 Xstars (Same Boat) could be had in my price range (if I bumped it up just a bit), all ready to go for Wakeboarding and their Wakes were still some of the Best out there.
So after 11 years of marriage, and just going out on the borother-in-law's 190 when we went home, we have finally just bought a 197. This is one mean tubin' machine
