Anyone with a 214 direct drive have an Evolution Cover? I thought I saw someone post that they did. I emailed Cory and he says he doesn't have the pattern.

KRW1225 does. I bought my cover from Cory in 2016 for the X14 that I sold to Kortney.

It was a sad weekend, watching the new owners pull away with the X14. IMHO, the X14 is still one of the best boats Mastercraft every produced. I'll be seeing you guys in the Prostar thread as soon as the new boat arrives!

Finally decided to sell my 197 to upgrade to the x14 - lovin' it.
Real happy with the extra room and the ski wake is great.
Thanks to all for the good input on surfin' the x14 - will try and do some myself.

I have thought about raising it, saw the posts you're referring to, earlier in this thread. Also saw some guys had trimmed the corners a bit too, and have given that some thought. Probably going to try to sell soon and look for an x10 over the winter.

We use suck gate when surfing stbd primarily, port riders prefer not to use it, but have. Definitely have to watch the bow when picking up, but aft is not really too bad. standing on platform, just over ankle deep. I'll try to get some pics or a video this weekend if that would help anyone.

Again, it's not a surf machine, and we are actually looking at trading into a surf first boat, but the X14 can do it (for lighter riders).

Have you thought about raising the platform? I know some people with X14's did that to clean up the surf wave. I was going to, but never got around to it.
