Can't comment on the X14V, but the X-1 is nice at 32+MPH. X14V is 600 lbs heavier and a bit wider. Would love to ski behind it to compare.....

Much closer. The fact that he gets mani's and peti's done is a bit over the top...

who stole one of the cars off of the tilt-a-whirl. Do you have a line of carnies asking for a job every time you take it out.

It is a nice boat though.

The navy flake on the boat does not normally show that well, I just caught it with the sun in the right spot. Most of the time it is more muted, but catch it just right and she really shines.

Sorry if this has been addressed but I see a lot of Rtp motors in the 14v. Is the 310 hp sufficient.?

I think most of us have and would recommend the MCX (or its Ilmor equivilent). Not to say that the RTP isn't suffcient, but it also depends on what you are used to. I came from a 190 with the LTR (330hp). Even with the extra hp of the MCX, the boat doesn't have as much snap as my 190 did due to the extra size and weight of the x-14. Of course we are running at altitude also, which drops performance a bit.

                              x-14v

I also have the MCX in my X-14v. Came from a PS190 with LT1. Clearly not as much snap out of the hull, but more than enough to pull my 220lbs out of the whole. Overall, I am very happy with this motor. Not sure I would run anything else.

It's probably "sufficient" -- but I don't own an X-14 -- or any MC for that matter -- because it's sufficient. I have the X-14 with MCX and the PS tranny and that package is fabulous.
